Theory
Research into memory takes place at a variety of levels of analysis. Often there is initial conflict within each level, but this is usually resolved eventually.
Method
Diverse — insider, outsider, neuropsychological, neurophysiological, computer modelling, experimentation.
Ecological validity can be a problem (but see what I said on the chapter 7 page).
Themes
Humanness vs. "computerness"?
Fixity and change.
Nature and nurture — not just interaction but interdependence. (I like the old analogous question in response to the nature or nurture debate: what's more important to a rectangle, the width or the height?)
