Approaches Assignment

a) Outline the various approaches that psychologists have adopted in the study of human thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
b) What evidence is there to support these theories?
c) What criticisms have been levelled against them?
d) Which, in your view, is the most successful approach?


You should read and make notes from the source below, and then construct your essay from them (i.e., don't give me long passages copied from the textbook). You will gain marks for information content (especially if it goes beyond Cardwell), clarity, logical structure and a well-argued conclusion.

Other introductory psychology books (but don't buy any from normal bookshops ã maybe there are some lying around in your house or at a friend or relative's house. Your local library may well have some. Help others in need by buying cheap from charity shops)
